Thanks to our PAC for our meeting last night! Here are some student success highlights for April.

We have a had an excellent return to learning after spring break, with teachers and students focused on the final term of learning.  We have so many interesting and engaging learning opportunities for students in support of this. These include our student-led morning announcements and student-run assemblies, which both focus on celebrations of learning and our beliefs as a school. It's great to see so many creative thinking and critical thinking class projects around our school. Of note is the resiliency shown by our grades 3s, as they navigated several setbacks with their salmon tank. Great job grade threes. We are looking forward to your release into our local creek!

Extra Curricular

  • cross country - We have about MANY students from grade 2, 3, 4, and 5 coming out twice a week for our practice runs, as well as many staff. The three meets occur at Centennial Park over the next three Wednesdays at 3:30. Awesome to see you all out yesterday in the rain. Go Orcas!

...lots going on for our students, and we are thankful for the tremendous commitment by staff to provide exceptional learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom. We look forward to this last term of learning.
