Delayed School Reopening Information

Dear ḰELSET Families,

Despite our return to full instruction for all students being delayed until January 10, we hope that the holiday break was an opportunity for us all to rest and connect, in our own ways, with families and friends. Our staff will be using this coming week, January 4-7,  to

-update our school safety plans to reflect the new provincial health order.

-support a variety of students of our essential health care workers, and students with complex needs.

-prepare for the uncertainty of the pandemic, and continuity of learning for all our students.

We know that this is yet another change to our school and family routines, but hope, as all of us do, that we are nearing the end of restrictions and a return to "normal", whether at school, work, home, or in our community.

Please expect additional emails from the school and district prior to our full reopening on Monday, January 10. We look forward to welcoming all of our learners then.

For more information on the phased January restart, please visit https://www.sd63.bc.ca/

Warmly,

ḰELSET administration

Principal Tassie Harris and Vice-Principal Philip Jungen
