Dear Parents/Guardians of ḰELSET School:
It was an absolute pleasure welcoming all of the children back on Thursday and Friday! There were so many happy and smiling faces - from students, staff and parents.
Monday, September 14th will be our first full day of school for students in Grades 1-5. Kindergarten families, you will have your first full day of school on Friday, September 18th.
Students in Grades 1-5 will go to your classroom’s exterior door on Monday morning. There will be extra staff on duty on Monday morning to help direct your child to their exterior door.
If you have previously registered for the school bus, regular bus routes will start on Monday morning. Students will not be able to ride the school bus if they have not previously registered due to health and safety protocols this year.
At dismissal times (2:48 pm) parents will be allowed to enter the school grounds via the gate on the field on Forest Park Drive. Please enter the school grounds only by the gate to the field. Please do not walk to the back from the front of the school via the spider climber. You may wait for your child behind the path that runs from the spider climber to the playground equipment. We ask that you stand between the path and the far fence on East Saanich Road. Please ensure that you physically distance while waiting for your child. Teachers will stand on the blacktop outside of their classrooms and ensure that your child is safely with an adult.
If your child takes the bus home, they will walk to the front of the school to wait for their bus.
