Dear Grade 5 Parents and Guardians: Re: Grade 5 Transition
We realize that as the result of the COVID - 19 pandemic and the suspension of in-class instruction that our transition process needs to look different this year. We have created a link on our school website that contains 5 pieces of information that we think you will find valuable. They are designed to give you some information and understanding about how North Saanich operates and supports students and learning. We know that this year we will not be gathering with our incoming grade 5 students or parents, but we still want to provide you with the same information that we traditionally share with students and families. There are 5 links with a Powerpoint presentation, three videos and Parent handbook.
We have tried to make these presentations clear and easy to watch, but much of the work has
been done from our homes. A big thank you to Mr. Caley and several of our students for
putting this page and presentations together. They have done an amazing job.
Many of the pictures are from last year as this has been an unusual year and we did not get to
do all the activities that are a big part of the NSMS tradition and activities we plan to resume
again next year.
