PAC AGM May 10th 6:30pm – 8:30pm
It’s a changing of the guard at ḰELSET Elementary School PAC! Each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) PAC executive positions are up for grabs! We need YOUR help to continue to be the strongest PAC in the district and provide the best opportunities we can for our children. Please step up to volunteer your time – every role can be shared!
Currently the PAC raises $35,000-$40,000 every year in order for your children to enjoy many varied programs such as: Reflex Math, Science Ventures, K-3 Visiting Scientists, Literacy Programs/Books, Artist in Residence, Dr Claire Vanston’s Body Science, Mindfulness Programs, ḰELSET Cares, Grade 4/5 PE Enhancements, Field Trips, Outdoor Equipment, Environmental Programs (Lifecycles), Forgotten Lunch Program, Earthquake Kits, PAC Community Events, and improved Technology…..
We MUST fill these positions or we won’t have a PAC that is allowed to run!
President - VACANT: Laura Veasey and Jen Langard are unable to run as Co-Presidents again. We cannot have a PAC without filling this position. We need 1 or 2 people to run meetings and oversee the day-to-day activities of the PAC.
Vice-President - Gwen McEwen will be running for this position.
Secretary – VACANT: Jane May and Anita Davidson will not run again.
Treasurer - Ashley Sonosky will be running for this position.
Fundraising - VACANT: Zabrina Fieldhouse will not run again.
COPACS Rep - VACANT: Jeannine Wakely will not run again.
First Nations Rep – VACANT: Sarah Winter will not run again.
Fun Lunch Coordinator - Jeannine Wakely will be running for this position.
Social Committee Chair - Katy Hembruff and Tarryn Vantreight will be running to co-chair this position.
ḰELSET Cares – Lisa McConnell will be running for this position.
Earthquake Rep – VACANT:
Members at Large – VACANT positions are available. If you would like to get involved and can commit to attending most of the PAC meetings and helping out with our events, please consider becoming a Member at Large.
