Refreshments to follow in the Library

Thank you to all those who came to our Naturescape Work Party on Saturday, November 5. Please come take a look at how beautiful it is looking out there. We are very proud of how this project is coming along. The students will not only enjoy playing in this area, but they will also be learning all about Native Species Plants - identifying them, what First Nations used them for, which ones are edible and so on.

We would like to especially thank parents Ian Smith and Frankie Allen for their expertise and willingness to do the 'shopping' for this project. The $3,000.00 fund we received from Tree Canada /Golder Associates has been stretched much further thanks to them. Ian was able to attain the plants at wholesale prices and Frankie received a very good discount from Russell Nurseries.

We still have enough money left over for one more Naturescape Work party. We will also be planting 3 large birch trees in the playground area.

You are invited to help us celebrate our achievements . We will have a rep from Tree Canada there as well as other local guests who have helped us with this project.
