I am trying something new this year. I will be posting items on this weblink so that you can find out what sorts of things your child is learning in French. I hope to post memos, vocabulary lists and maybe even videos.
REPORT CARD MEMO
I report on your child at least one time per year. If there are no changes, I do not write more than one report; but if I notice a signifcant improvement or a concern, I will write another report or contact you.
THE TEACHING METHOD I USE...
I use a methodology called “AIM” or Gestures.
Every word is accompanied by a sign or gesture. We also have a French only rule. When we put the timer on the computer screen, we must stop speaking in English and switch to French only. I am very pleased with the students as they are mostly abiding to this French only rule very well. This also cuts down on a lot of 'chatter' as you can imagine. Some kids try very hard to communicate in French only with each other and I do find that exciting.
