FAMILY LITERACY DAY IS JANUARY 27th

On this day NATIONWIDE, we celebrate the connection between FAMILY & LITERACY. Parents are invited to come read with your child(ren) from 8:40-9:10 on Friday, January 27th.

We have designed a short, fun ḰELSET family homework assignment.

ḰELSET Family Gratitude Shrub “gratitude turns what we have into enough”

Each student is to THINK hard about something they are grateful for. Students will be given a tag to take home to write their grateful message. The text should be BIG and BOLD so everyone can read the message (add a little art, use both sides if you want). If possible, please use permanent marker because these will be displayed OUTSIDE in our NATURESCAPE on a SHRUB in WINTER.

Remember to phrase it in the positive: Rather than, “I'm glad my friends aren't mean” Say, “I'm glad my friends are nice”

PLEASE return finished tags to the classroom teachers BEFORE JANUARY 27th.
