National D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) Day is Monday, October 27th.
To celebrate, ḰELSET invites parents, guardians, grandparents, and family members to come read with students first thing in the morning between approximately 8:40 – 9:00. The exceptions are Ms. Collett and Mrs. Postlethwaite’s classes who will be on a field trip.
If you bring a working flashlight, you can read your great, great book in the dark, dark, gym. Students must be accompanied by an adult for this spooktacular opportunity.
Do you have more than one child in the school? You can either have them meet in one room, meet in the gym, or divide your time between classes. Your choice!
While there will be books in the classroom to share, you might want to bring a favourite book from home – one that is tried and true.
See you on Monday!
